
BLOOMSBURG — The Berks Ajax FC Flying Dutchmen U16 girls soccer team won three straight games over the weekend to go unbeaten at the Futures in Soccer Showcase at Bloomsburg University. Berks Ajax opened tournament play on Saturday with a 4-0 victory over the Spirit United Lightning, followed by a 2-1 win over the TEYSA Twisters. In Sunday’s tournament finale, Savannah Tucker’s lone goal midway through the second half of regulation proved to be the game-winner as the Flying Dutchmen held of the Lafayette (N.J.) Inferno, 1-0. Danielle Lentz led Berks Ajax on the weekend, scoring three goals, while Hollie Garber added two and Tucker and Amanda Garber each added a goal of their own. Megan Janderchick and Misty Galligan combined for the three victories in goal, needing to make just six saves on the weekend.
