U16 Girls finish second at MAPS Spring Challenge
Flying Dutchmen fall in shootout in championship game

The Berks Ajax FC U16 girls team recently finished second at the MAPS Spring Challenge at Fort Dix, N.J.

The Flying Dutchmen reached the final with a 1-0 victory over the West Chester United SC Eagles in the semifinals before falling in the championship match to Freehold United, out of New Jersey, on penalty kicks, 3-1.  Berks Ajax held Freehold scoreless through regulation setting up the mandatory shootout round, and gave up just two goals for the tournament, both coming in a 2-1 group play loss to East Hudson Academy out of New York.
